Next, we venture to the renowned Saqqara village, known as the final resting place of kings and royals. The highlight of our day awaits at the Great Pyramids of Giza, the eternal marvels that have captivated the world for centuries. Our Day Is Not Complete Without A Visit To Old Cairo Where We’re Headed To The Historical Religious Complex To Visit A Number Of Mosques, Churches, And Jewish Temples. Lunch At Local Restaurant.
Then we cruise to Luxor, the world’s “greatest open-air museum,” whose vast temple complexes, tombs, and statues dating from 2755 BCE represent the pinnacle of Egyptian architecture. Today we explore the East Bank, home of Karnak, the greatest temple complex of them all, whose ruins stretch for more than a mile.
We have the choice to rise very early to see the West Bank from above on an optional hot air balloon ride.
After we disembark our ship later this morning, we tour the haunting Valley of the Kings, where 34 royal tombs feature magnificent paintings
the Valley of the Queens; and the dramatic Temple of Hatshepsut honoring one of the few female pharaohs.
We also see the massive Colossi of Memnon, two 64-foot-high statues of Amenhotep III that once guarded the gates of his own tomb
Then we sail on to Edfu, where tonight we attend a shipboard party.
Embark on a captivating journey as we board our flight southward to Aswan, a city steeped in history and timeless beauty. Our first stop takes us to witness the grandeur of the world's largest dam, the High Dam. Standing proudly on the mighty Nile River, this engineering marvel not only controls the river's flow but also provides vital irrigation and hydroelectric power to the region.
Continuing our exploration, we venture to the Unfinished Obelisk, a remarkable testament to the ancient art of stone carving. This colossal obelisk, left unfinished in the ancient quarries, showcases the immense skill and precision of the craftsmen who shaped Egypt's iconic monuments.
Our journey reaches its pinnacle at the Great Temple of Philae, a true jewel of ancient Egyptian architecture. Situated on the picturesque island of Agilkia, this magnificent temple complex is dedicated to the goddess Isis. As we traverse its sacred halls and marvel at its beautifully carved reliefs, we are transported back in time, immersing ourselves in the mystical world of Egyptian mythology and worship.
We sail this morning to Kasr Ibrim, the last remaining Nubian settlement in its original location. we learn about this ancient site while overlooking it from the ship’s sun deck. Then we continue on to Abu Simbel’s massive complex of temples guarded by statues of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari, with well-preserved murals inside
We cruise today to the site of the ancient trading town at Kom Ombo, with its unusual double temple and outstanding Nile views.
This afternoon we sail aboard small feluccas, replicas of ancient Nile sailboats
we start the day at the ground of one of the most famous massacres in history; Salah Al-Din Al-Ayoubi Citadel
we will not leave Egypt without visiting The Main Artistic Hub For All Types Of Souvenirs In Egypt; Khan El Khalili.
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo, to enjoy an amazing Day Trip To Alexandria From Cairo. First, visit Pompey's Pillar. It was constructed in honour of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivalling the Soma and the Caesarean.
Then drive to visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria
then proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria then, to Bibliotheca Alexandria.
Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
Final day at Egypt’s capital. Check out from your hotel and head back to Cairo Airport for flight departure. We’ll be waiting for your next trip with us!
