Villa das Rainhas (since the 13th century): In 1282, D. Dinis offered Óbidos as a wedding gift to his wife, Queen Santa Isabel. This gesture gave rise to a tradition in which the village was often donated to the Portuguese queens, becoming known as the "Villa das Rainhas" It has become an important tourist destination, known for the International Chocolate Festival, the Medieval Fair and the Ginjinha (Ginja liqueur). Today, Óbidos is a symbol of Portugal’s history and heritage, attracting visitors from all over the world with its medieval architecture, the castle that dominates the landscape and the cultural events that exalt the village.

Legend of Our Lady of Nazareth (1182): The most striking story of Nazareth is the legend of the miracle of Our Lady of Nazareth. According to tradition, in 1182, the knight D. Nazareth gained fame with the phenomenon of giant waves, thanks to the Canyon of Nazareth, one of the largest underwater slopes in the world. In 2011, surfer Garrett McNamara placed Nazaré on the world map by surfing a wave of 23,77 meters. So, the village became one of the most sought after destinations for surfing.
