Punting is a great leisure activity, a great tradition amongst the people in summer. An experienced punter will guide you down the Idilic river Cherwell whilst you enjoy the beautiful scenery and if you so choose you can bring along a picnic. Feeding the waterfowl (swans, ducks, moorhens and geese) is allowed but please refrain from touching the waterbirds are some are protected species.

Go to Bardwell number 52 and turn down the slip road which has the sign for the Cherwell Boathouse.

    Enjoy a relaxing chauffeured trip up the river Cherwell and delight in the green scenery that Oxford has to offer. Matched with the backs of the gardens of Wolfson college and the prestigious Dragons preparatory school this punting trip makes an ideal perfect afternoon out. Feeding waterfowl from picnics is allowed as the river is home to flocks of swan, goose, duck and moorhens.
