In a 3 hours walking tour around the historic city centre, starting at the central railway station of S. Bento, enjoy the how Porto witnessed a huge urban and industrial growth in the 1800s, allowing the city to tear down what was left of the Fernandine Wall and expand to the periphery. Monuments such as the Bookstore Lello & Irmão, despite inspiring J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter, provided a cultural beacon for all the scholars and academics with its outstanding neogothic façade; the Majestic Cafe, a bohemian beacon for poets, writers and architects has an Art Nouveau façade, heavily influenced by Paris; or a traditional coffee and spices shop, its entrance is more than meets the eye.
