Next stop is Devon House for lunch and refreshments. The Devon House is a source of pride for the city. The mansion was constructed in 1881 by Jamaica’s first black millionaire, George Stiebel, who made his fortune in Venezuelan gold. The courtyard behind the Devon House is full of boutiques and restaurants, including the famous ‘Jamaican’ patties.
