This peaceful lakeside stop offers the perfect chance to stretch your legs, unwind, and soak in the scenery before continuing your journey toward Milford Sound.
Along the journey to Milford Sound, we’ll make plenty of scenic stops along the infamous Milford Sound Road, allowing you to take in the incredible landscapes—from lush forests to glacier-carved valleys and mirror lakes.
From here, we enter Fiordland National Park and the iconic Milford Road—an extraordinary alpine corridor that reveals a dramatic side of New Zealand, where towering mountains, braided rivers, and the occasional cheeky kea frame the journey to the fiord.
