On this tour we combine the main attractions of Lisbon, such as the Jerónimos Monastery, The Tower of Belem and the Alfama District, with tastings of Ginjinha, the famous Pastéis de Nata de Belém and wine tastings by the Tagus River.
We begin our tour at Rossio square and Baixa Pombalina, known by this name after the reconstruction by the Marquis of Pombal, after the earthquake of 1755. We will also visit St. Dominic Square and learn more about the 1506 Lisbon massacre.
Passing by the Lisbon Cathedral and the viewpoint of Portas do Sol, we will stop at the famous viewpoint of Nossa Sra do Monte, where we have a new perspective of the city of the seven hills.
Before lunch, we'll take a short walk through the narrow streets of Alfama neighbourhood, one of the most characteristic neighborhoods in Lisbon. Here we will taste the famous ginginha and learn a bit more about the moorish and jewish legay in the portuguese capital city.
After lunch, we’ll visit Belém, a neighborhood famous for its relation with the Portuguese Discoveries. Once there, we visit the Jerónimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries. We end our tour with a wine tasting and a pastel de Belém, on the riverside, next to the Tower of Belém, symbol of the identity of the city of Lisbon throughout the world.
