This is a new and exciting tour created by our Company Managed Travel Services.
Catembe is located on the south-western side of Maputo Bay, near the Estuário do Espírito Santo where the rivers Tembe, Mbuluzi, Matola and Infulene converge. You will learn on how the Tembe Family came about and thus the town is named after Chief Tembe.
You will learn about the Goan community on how and when they emigrated from Goa and the influence they have instilled in the fishing industry.
You will learn about the connection of Catembe people and people of Eswatini.
We will take you to a small local museum at Catembe Gallery Hotel where the late Samora Machel rested before he left Mozambique for the liberation struggle in Tanzania.
