Arrival at the airport and transfer from the airport to Planet Lodge Arusha. The city is located at the foot of Mount Meru, the climate is relatively cool and dry and the main activity economic of the region is agriculture, with large plantations of vegetables and flowers from which products are exported high quality to Europe. Micro-agriculture has been hit hard by the coffee crisis and it is nearly so exclusively subsistence agriculture. There are also several industrial plants in the Arusha area which produce beer, tires and drugs. Due to its strategic position among the main parks of Tanzania (Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Manyara, Tarangire and Kilimanjaro), Arusha is an important tourist center. Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up at dawn and transfer to Ngorongoro for the descent into the crater. Ngorongoro N.P. it is probably the most famous of all the conservation areas in Africa and is worth a visit at least once in a lifetime. It is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world and some scientists believe that before the eruption it was higher than Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The 660 meters deep crater, covering an area of 260 sq. km. It houses a permanent population of over 30,000 animals, and it is one of the few places in Africa where you have the chance to see the "big five" in just one safari. An absolutely unique feature of the crater is that the local Masai graze cattle on its slopes, and it is not unusual to see Masai herds and wild buffalo grazing together. The chances of sighting the animals are excellent all year round. In the afternoon we leave the crater for the transfer to the hotel in Karatu.
