We chase the lights only when necessary, allowing you to enjoy the comfort of our lodge which is actually our personal home and its amenities. Our local Alaskan native guide has grown up experiencing this natural phenomenon and knows where to find it.

We want you to go home with excellent northern lights photos of your own. That is why your experienced guide will teach you how to set up your personal camera equipment. Our professional aurora portrait included will be a cherished memento of your unforgettable experience.

Our 15-passenger van ensures your comfort and warmth during the trip. Book with a born and raised Alaskan, familiar with the area and the aurora, to make your dream come true. When we say small group, we mean it-max 10 people per tour. Unlike others who pack 15+ or run multiple vans together.

Camera rentals are available on a first come first serve basis. Rentals will need to be reserved and paid for prior to the tour. You'll need to provide the SD card.

Meeting and pickup

Pickup points
You can choose a pickup location at checkout (multiple pickup locations are available).
Pickup details:

The shuttle will pick you up at your hotel lobby on the night of the booking. You will be contacted on the day of the booking with exact pickup times as this allows us to make sure weather is not going to be an issue. Pickup times take place between 8-8:30pm and return to Fairbanks around 5am. Depending on the Aurora data we may depart sooner than 8 so that we can get out under the skies in time. You'll be contacted with any time changes prior to. If you're staying in an Airbnb outside of the city, we meet at the Morris Thompson Visitor Center for pickup and drop off at 101 Dunkel St, Fairbanks, Ak. A dropped pin of the location will be sent prior to start of tour. Avoid the cold vans on the other tours especially on those chilly nights.     View the aurora in a private setting setting away from the crowds and the light pollution from the city. Experience viewing the aurora the way it should be, comfortably and pleasurable with the comforts of home! If it's cold outside feel free to come in and warm up by the fire while sipping on hot cocoa, tea, cider or coffee all the while taking in the show from the inside viewing area.
