Looking back into history and the damage from the apartheid regime, Robben Island Museum and the Nelson Mandela's prison cell are definitely important to visit so that one can appreciate the freedom South Africans enjoy today.
Robben Island is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site, visitors are taken on group guided tour from the Mandela Gateway Departure office by ferry to learn about the island's long history and the political struggle our fore fathers went thought for South Africans to finally experience a true democratic state.
