South Africa has been producing wine since 1659 with wine cuttings introduced to the Cape by the Dutch and French Huguenots. Many high profile to the like of Napoleon Bonaparte drunk the South African wine.
Hence, this tour of the winelands is probably the second most popular tour in Cape Town after the Cape of Good Hope tour. The Cape Winelands are looked at as one of the most beautiful countryside in the world. With dramatic, expansive vistas of mountains, vineyards and ocean. The wineries are uniquely interesting and picturesque: with rich history, stunning Cape Dutch buildings accompanied by magnificent gardens. This tour takes visitors to modern architecture buildings and world class restaurants such as Delaire Graff Estate, Tokara,..
For wine lovers, we thought to encourage them not to visit Cape Town without familliarising themselves with our beautiful South African wines and appreciate the beautifully, well looked after winelands where our grape are grown and wine isproduced.

    Fairview Wine and Cheese

Dear visitors, as we embark on a full day winelands adventure, we select places with the best setups and the best experience. The wineland is vast and different wineries offer different experiences. While we are open to customized itineraries, we also suggest our own route which we believe you will love at the end of the tour. We will drive for fithty minutes from central Cape Town to Fairview wine and cheese estate. Here we will test eight (8) wines paired with cheese. Our professional wine somilier will entertain us for about two hours. We will get the best education about the soil, grape, wine production as well as wine and cheese pairing. You will have opportunity to ask any type of question you need. You will also have an opportunity to purchase wines, cheese or other souvenirs displayed around. The Charles Back family have owned the Fairview estate for three generations now, they know exactly what customers want. After Fairview, will proceed to Franschoek for our MCC experience

After Fairview wine estate, the tour will continue visiting the little town of Franschhoek. The guide will stop at Vistor Vestor prison(Where Nelson Mandela walked out prison after his release). After, the guide will then proceed to Haute Cabriere wine estate. Visitors at Haute Cabriere are firstly impressed by its location and extensive terrace, affording breathtaking views of Franschhoek valley. Haute Cabriere is deeply rooted in tradition. Following French convention, the still wine is named after the farm, Haute Cabriere and the méthode classique range is named like all French champagnes, after the original owner the French Huguenot Pierre Jourdan who was granted the land in 1694. Haute Cabriere became the first winery in South Africa to specialize in Méthode Classique produced exclusively from two noble cultivars of the Champagne region of France - chardonnay and pinto noir. We selected this winery for the view and allow visitors to test the MCC(Méthode Cap Classique/Campaign.
