The Valley of the Queens in Luxor is the ancient burial site of royal women, princes, and high-ranking nobles from Egypt’s New Kingdom (circa 1560–1130 BC). Known in antiquity as Ta-Set-Neferu—“The Place of Beauty” or “Place of the Royal Children”—this sacred valley includes over 100 tombs, including those of Queen Nefertari and other royals.
