What to expect
Pick up from your Marrakech accommodation and set off on a scenic drive through the breathtaking Atlas Mountains. Enjoy stunning views as you head towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Along the way, explore the famous Ait Ben Haddou — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — where you’ll wander through the ancient village and admire its iconic kasbah, a spectacular example of traditional Berber architecture. Continue your journey through the dramatic Ait Saouen Mountains, passing the charming palm-filled village of Agdez before arriving in Zagora. Here, embark on a memorable camel trek across the golden Sahara dunes to your desert camp. Savor a delicious Moroccan dinner under the stars and spend a magical night immersed in the peaceful desert atmosphere.
Day 2
Wake up to a traditional breakfast in the heart of the desert before riding back to Zagora. From there, drive back to Ouarzazate for a fascinating visit to the renowned cinema studios, where many famous international films have been shot. After the visit, begin your journey back to Marrakech, arriving around 7:30 PM with unforgettable memories of your Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert adventure.
