Your first stop is Imjingak Park, just 7 kilometres from the Military Demarcation Line. The Freedom Bridge stands here — the bridge where nearly 13,000 prisoners of war crossed back to the South at the end of the war. The steam locomotive nearby was hit by artillery and stopped in its tracks. It has not moved since.

    you look across the border through binoculars into North Korea — the propaganda village of Kijong-dong, the world's tallest flagpole, and the empty fields beyond. The tour ends at Dorasan Station, the last train station before the North Korean border, built for a reunification that has not yet come.
