Guests will walk through a park to the totem heritage center. Guests will see a Salmon hatchery en route to the Totem Heritage Center. Upon arrival to the Totem heritage center the guide will discuss key attractions and points of interest. After these points the guide will allow the guests a brief period to explore on their own. Guests will then relink with guide and return to the van.
During the guest's departure to the Alaska Bio-Tour Adventures trail. Enjoy a narrated town tour of Ketchikan while your guide points out key locations and points of interest.
Arriving in Ward cove enjoy a nature walk alongside a historic pulp mill pipeline. Shortly after guests will arrive at the Alaska Bio-Tour Adventures trail. Participants will explore this rich moss-covered forest setting where a well-groomed trail will provide full colored kiosks identifying the abundant species of animal and plant life living there. This experience provides a remote wilderness hiking activity for individuals, families or groups interested in learning a wealth of information about the Tongass National Forest. The terrane is accentuated by two creeks at and above their confluence as they cut their way through the mountain slope on their way to the Pacific Ocean.
