What to expect

Ishikari-nabe is one of Hokkaido’s most iconic local dishes.
This miso-based hot pot features salmon or trout along with a variety of vegetables. The dish is said to have originated at Kindaitē, a traditional restaurant founded in 1880 and located in Ishikari City, next to Sapporo.

At this fully reservation-only restaurant—the birthplace of Ishikari-nabe—you will enjoy a special menu created exclusively for this tour, designed to be enjoyable even for international visitors.
In addition to the main Ishikari-nabe, you can savor six specialty dishes unique to this historic establishment, offering a taste of 145 years of culinary tradition.
The historic building itself is also well worth a visit.
