Amersham, Buckinghamshire is as steeped in history as it is tales of the paranormal. Some of this significant history has left a mark that many people still witness to this day.
In the early 1500s The Amersham Martyrs, known as Lollards, were imprisoned, tried and executed in a brutal manner.
There are reports in varied establishments of chambermaids & bar wenches getting a bit "hands on."
Amersham residents were particularly fearful of witchcraft. Join us as we the explore the horrible history, hauntings, local legends and recent encounters of the unexplained. We will visit the locations of apparitions, disembodied voices and screams, poltergeist activity, and people being touched by unseen hands.

Central to the old town centre. A site significant to the fate of the Amersham Lollards, a group of religious dissidents in the late middle ages. Also, the final resting place of the last woman to be executed in the UK. But, was the case as cut and dried as first believed?
Home to yet more haunted current and former hostelries where we will soak up the ambience of a pub largely unchanged for centuries. People in these buildings witness paranormal activity to this very day.
