This activity has been designed by a local ‘expert’, who has created a fun experience that takes you to some of the town’s highlights and the lesser-known places, away from all the tourists. The puzzles are designed to help you experience the place from a different perspective – using landmarks, murals, statues etc - and you’ll even learn some ‘fun facts’ along the way.
The self guided aspect of this activity means that you can rush through as fast as you like or stop for a drink or something to eat as you like. The app remembers your progress and even allows you to complete your adventure another day.
We aim to strike a fun balance between challenging puzzles, a fun outing with friends and family and a pleasant walk around outside.

This is a self guided tour - no one will meet you. To start your activity, simply follow a link in your Viator booking confirmation and complete the form on our website with your Name, eMail address and booking confirmation number. We will email you everything you need!
What to expect
Adventure Hunt is an interactive experience that blends sightseeing with problem-solving and encourages you to be observant and pay attention to your surroundings to find the clues and solve the riddles.
Use our Adventure Hunt App to guide you along the 2km trail, taking you along the promenade and through the old quarter, finding landmarks, solving puzzles, and uncovering ‘fun facts’ along the way.
Follow the painted path to locate the artist among the Ribeirinha’s marble statues, spot the difference in one of the city’s decorative murals, find the hidden lions at Palacio do Sapal, and solve the equation outside the Igreja do Colegio.
We have a second option in Portimao - a walking tour with no puzzles. Select your preferred option at checkout. The walking tour follows a similar route but with more stories and history of the area and its past.
