The West Kennet Long Barrow dates back to before the famous circle of standing stones at Stonehenge and is one of the oldest sites in the Avebury and Stonehenge UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, we will stop nearby to admire Silbury Hill, the largest artificial mound in Britain and the purpose of which still remains unknown. This mysterious chalk mound is roughly the same height and volume as the Egyptian pyramids, which were built at roughly the same time.
