Accompanied by a local foodie, you'll visit the famous and spectacular market in Plaza de Lugo, where you'll discover the richness and variety of the region's produce. You'll have the opportunity to chat with the fishmongers and learn more about Galicia's extensive culinary culture. Once we finish shopping, the purchased ingredients will be brought to the kitchen. In this cozy and exclusive space located in the center of La Coruña, just minutes from the market, you'll be able to enjoy the cuisine and participate in creating the menu before tasting it.
The experience can be conducted in English or Spanish. The hosts are bilingual.

Our space is behind Riazor beach, There is street parking or a public parking only 2 minutes walk from the space. We are near Plaza Maestro Mateo.

What to expect

We'll meet at 10:30am at Pencil & Fork, located in the center of La Coruña, very close to the fish and seafood market, as well as meat, fruit, and vegetables. We'll have a coffee and discuss what we're going to buy at the market and how we'll cook it.
We'll visit the market to see the varieties of fish and seafood on offer, and we'll buy our ingredients, giving you the opportunity to ask the vendors questions.
Back in the kitchen, we'll get organised and start cooking together. We'll sit at the table and indulge our appetites, accompanied by regional wines and beers.

This experience typically takes place Tuesday through Saturday when the market is open and lasts approximately three hours so we should be finished by 1.30pm approx. Please check availability. For groups of more than eight people, please contact the host.
