What to expect

This experience at La Coruña is brought to you by Pencil & Fork, host of another fantastic activity announced at this same platform with great reviews (Market Shopping and Cooking Workshop in A Coruña).

This time, Pencil & Fork will focus on Galician wines, explaining the history of our vines, our different kinds of grapes, our geography and climate. We are at Alfredo Vicenti 29 and the experience will last from 12:00 to 14:00.

We will talk about the five Designation of Origin (DOs) that we have in Galicia and will taste the three more known grapes: Godello, Albariño and Mencía – two whites and one red.

However, this will be an interactive experience. Together, we will go through the three steps of our wine tasting: visual, olfactory and taste analysis. No previous knowledge in wine is needed - this is a pleasant activity for all, not only for wine connoisseurs.

Each participant will have their own wine tasting score card and we will discuss each wine together. We will start with a Galician cheese board to match each wine. We will then pair each wine to typical Galician tapas which will bring them more to life and we will finish with a sweet touch.
