Options of ALL MUSEUMS
This tour is a celebration of the painter’s life and art and it’s perfect if you want to know about her in depth by the hand of an expert.
What really happened with her childhood illnesses? How did she become a painter? What inspired her? How did she meet Diego Rivera and ended up marrying him twice? What about the infidelities?
We'll tell you, but separating facts from gossip.
If you choose the CASA KAHLO option, a guided visit is included inside the museum that was the family house for 4 generations and donated recently by Frida's grandniece to show a more personal side of the artist, in opposition to CASA AZUL that's owned by a bank.
And if you choose the option that includes STUDIO HOUSE museum you will be guided through the life not only of Frida, but of Diego as well, since this place is where he lived until the end of his days.
At Frida Tours, we not only give tours, we craft memories.
We're the only tour agency in Mexico operated exclusively by women.
Depending on the option that you choose, you can have private transportation or a meeting point in Coyoacán. The day prior to the tour, the guide will text the lead traveler to confirm the pickup/meetup location, time, and number of travelers.
We will meet exactly at the letters of "COYOACAN" in the main plaza of the neighborhood.
After the museum we'll treat you to Aztec's drink of the gods: Pulque. From here it's very easy to take a taxi.
Coyoacán was the first establishment of the conquerors back in 1522, so we'll tell you about all the legends and architecture of this Historical site.
Listen to the story about Malinche and Hernán Cortés, while taking photos of one of the most beautiful plazas of the city.
How did Frida Kahlo become an artist? How was the tragic accident she had when she was a teenager? How did she meet and marry Diego Rivera? We'll tell you all, the facts and theories.
Throughout the barrio of Coyoacan, you'll enjoy exotic quesadillas, esquites, churros, and crickets and discover new flavors while learning the history behind each bite.
Here you will see with your own eyes how Frida Kahlo used to live and love, and you'll understand all the stories we told you regarding her life.
To end our tour we'll enjoy together a traditional pulque (or drink) while we show you Kahlo's diaries and explain her most important paintings.
