Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. In 2016, the garden was visited by 1.2 million locals and 400,000 foreign visitors.It is near the Mahaweli River (The longest river in Sri Lanka). It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Attached to it is the "National Herbarium of Sri Lanka".
After a leisurely breakfast, head to the hill country resort of Nuwara Eliya and Ella. En route, stop at Ramboda waterfalls, Ambuluwawa tower, and a tea plantation. As you make your way into Sri Lanka’s hill country, stop at a tea factory to learn about the country’s most famous export. On your way back to Nuwara Eliya, stop by the gorgeous Ramboda Falls, one of Sri Lanka’s tallest waterfalls. Known as “Little England,” Nuwara Eliya is a charming town surrounded by lush tea plantations. Take a stroll around Gregory Lake, admire the colonial architecture, and enjoy the cool climate.

Spend some time relaxing on the beautiful Unawatuna Beach, known for its golden sands, clear waters, and laid-back vibe. For a unique underwater experience, head to Hikkaduwa and explore the vibrant coral reefs just off the coast.
