This tour is a fantastic way to see the Lake District from Glasgow. Your journey will begin at Glasgow Central Station where you will board the train bound for Oxenholme at 09:06. Your return train will leave Oxenholme at 18:34 returning you to Glasgow for 20:42.
Catch the train from Glasgow Central Station to Oxenholme. The train departs at 09:06, passengers MUST board the train in due time, the train will not wait for latecomers and will depart at exactly 09.26. This part of the tour is also unguided, passengers must make their own way to the train and embark without the assistance of a Mountain Goat representative. (Train ticket included in price.)
You will meet a Mountain Goat representative here after your unguided train journey from Manchester to be taken to Windermere.

Visit Hill Top House, the former home of the author Beatrix Potter. Here you can explore the gardens and if you so wish may pay to enter the house. (Please contact Mountain Goat directly to book entry.) Hill top is not open during the winter months, an alternative attraction will be offered.
Enjoy a cruise on Windermere, the UK's largest lake. Here you can marvel at the stunning vistas of the Lake District from the water. (This cruise may take place at differing points of the tour based on availability.)
You will be dropped off by your driver to catch the return train back to Manchester. The train departs Oxenholme at 18:14.
Return to Glasgow after a day out in the Lake District.
