You will visit these locations because most of them are secluded / or reachable only by boat, and with a guide. The locations are great for inter-island travels because they are close to each other, close to the mainland, they offer a unique experience for swimming and sunbathing, and have a historic heritage. We next head to the island of Lokrum. Lokrum is a beautiful uninhabited island in front of Dubrovnik. A must see in this area. You can swim and jump from the boat. We will enter the Lokrum cave by boat.
On our way to Koločep, you get to see the panorama of the Dubrovnik city walls and the old harbor from the sea. A unique experience with a slow ride perfect for taking some photographs.
Next stop is the Blue cave on Koločep island. The boat is equipped with snorkeling gear so you can enjoy underwater beauty and enter inside of the cave. Colour of the sea is blue and you can stand on your feet inside. If you are feeling adventures, this is a great place for cliff jumping.
It is the largest island in this group and its highest point is 243 m (797 ft) above sea level. Two limestone crests, the higher (Velji Vrh, 243 m) in the northeast and the lower in the southeast surround a dolomite depression, on which olives, figs, vine, carob-trees, almond-trees, oranges and citrus fruit are cultivated.
Afterwards, we continue to the island of Lopud, second of the Elaphiti islands. There are a few sights on the island, including a number of churches from the 15th and 16th centuries. The remains of the Rector’s Palace and the ruins of a Fortress are worth a peek; there’s also a Franciscan Monastery that overlooks the village of Lopud which was built in the 15th century. Enjoy sunbathing on the sandy beach of Sunj, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the whole country. You can have lunch in one of the local restaurants. Ideal place for children, a fantastic sandy beach with a lot of shallow waters. After swimming and sunbathing explore the island on foot.
