We start very early so you can enjoy the magical sunrise over the impressive Tatio Geysers, the largest geothermal field in the southern hemisphere. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious breakfast in the middle of the Andean landscape.
Next, we head to Vado del Río Putana, where you can observe the diversity of endemic flora and fauna, including flamingos and vicuñas. Our last stop is in the picturesque town of Machuca, famous for its adobe church and llama roast. Stop 1: Tatio Geysers After a drive of approximately 1 hour from San Pedro de Atacama, we arrive at the Tatio Geysers geothermal field, the third largest in the world and the largest in the southern hemisphere. Located at 4,200 meters above sea level, this natural phenomenon is spectacular and will take your breath away. Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast in the middle of this impressive landscape. Duration: 4 hours
Stop 2: Vado del Río Putana We continue towards Vado del Río Putana, where we will explore the rich endemic flora and fauna of the region. We will stop at a lagoon to observe flamingos and other Andean birds. Duration: 30 minutes
Stop 3: Machuca Village Finally, we visit the picturesque village of Machuca, famous for its old adobe church and the possibility of tasting a llama roast. On Mondays and Tuesdays, the village is closed, so this stop is not made on those days. Return to San Pedro de Atacama. Duration: 1 hour
