  On our way from Cape Agulhas, we’ll make a stop in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, just inland from Hermanus. This picturesque valley is famous for its wineries—Creation Wine Estate and Hamilton Russell Vineyards are excellent choices for a tasting. Hermanus is also renowned for whale watching between June and November, so keep your eyes on the ocean for majestic southern right whales. For lunch, the seaside restaurants in Hermanus offer stunning views and delicious local cuisine. We’re happy to assist with restaurant reservations to make your visit even more enjoyable.

  Hermanus Cliff Path

  The Hermanus Cliff Path stretches for several kilometers along the rugged coastline, offering stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and dramatic cliffs. It’s one of the best land-based whale-watching spots in the world, especially from June to November, when southern right whales come close to shore. Along the path, you’ll find benches, viewpoints, and information boards highlighting local wildlife and history—perfect for photography and leisurely strolls. The path is well-maintained and mostly flat, making it suitable for all ages. Keep an eye out for dolphins, seabirds, and even occasional seals. Nearby cafes and shops in Hermanus town make it easy to combine your walk with lunch or a coffee break, creating a full, memorable coastal experience.
