Itálica is an ancient Roman city located in the municipality of Santiponce (Seville). The Roman city was founded in 206 BC. During the republican period it was an important city, and much more so in the imperial era. Despite the general belief that it was abandoned around the 4th century, the truth is that only the Hadrianic enlargement was abandoned, the city falling back to something more than its original extension, under the current town of Santiponce, where it continued a life of a certain prestige in the Lower Empire and the Visigoth period. Itálica arrived still alive in the Muslim period, when several Arab authors mention it with the name of Talikah/Taliqa. It is in the twelfth century when it must have been really abandoned, becoming a depopulated area, called by the Christians Campos de Tal(i)ca and also Sevilla la Vieja.

The origin of this olive-growing municipality dates back to prehistoric times. In Roman times it must have had relative importance and, according to some historians, it seems to correspond to the name of Pesula, cited by Pliny, in the Turdetania region. In times of the Muslim invasion and domination it was no more than an Arab farmhouse, like many other towns in Aljarafe, which was enlarged with new farmhouses until it formed a town, which King Ferdinand III distributed among his warrior court. In the 18th century it was repopulated by the gentleman Juan Federegui.

Hacienda San Ignacio de Torrequemada is located in a privileged enclave: just 15 minutes from the city of Seville, very close to Bollullos de la Mitación. This olive grove hacienda has hardly been transformed since the beginning of the 18th century, maintaining all the flavor and charm of its origins and preserving all the flavor of traditional Andalusian architecture. All the spaces available for holding events are original, standing out for their artistic and ethnological interest. The entrance to the hacienda is adorned with a spectacular semicircular arch that dates back to 1708, the year it was built.

La Cañada de los Pájaros is a zoo and wetland located in the province of Seville, next to the Doñana Natural Area, created in 1986 on an abandoned gravel pit. The land, converted into a wetland, concentrates a significant number of bird species, as a wintering and nesting place. The space was declared a Concerted Nature Reserve by the Ministry of the Environment in 1991 and is currently included in the Network of Natural Areas of Andalusia, in the Inventory of Wetlands of Andalusia and in the Andalusian Wetlands Plan.
