The Itaipu hydropower plant is the largest energy producer in the world.
The Itaipu dam, formed a lake with an area of 1.350 km2, providing a deep immersion in nature the shores of this lake.
The shores of the lake we pedal in the middle of trails, where we can take a bath in the reservoir.
The area is a ciliar forest, which serves as a support for the regional fauna and flora, where we will pass by bicycle.
This protective band of the reservoir reduces erosion, sinking and pollution of the lake, as it becomes a barrier against wind and wind.
The average width is 208 meters, and the length reaches 2,9 thousand km on both sides (Brazilian and Paraguayan).
