Since 1983, we've been introducing visitors to ocean sports at beautiful Kalapaki Beach, one of Kauai's best locations for learning to stand-up paddle. With the experienced local instructors provide personalized coaching in small groups, ensuring every guest receives plenty of individual attention.
You'll learn proper paddling technique, balance, turning, and water safety using premium, stable paddleboards, a leash, and a rash guard—all included. The calm, protected waters of Kalapaki Bay create ideal conditions for beginners, while its reputation as Kauai's premier SUP surf break offers the opportunity to progress as your confidence grows.

Kauai Beach Boys beach rental concession is located at Kalapaki Beach next to Duke's Restaurant.
What to expect
Then it’s time to head onto the water and put your new skills into practice. Your instructor will stay with you as you learn.
Lessons are kept small for more personalized instruction and are suitable for beginners as well as guests looking to improve their paddling skills. All necessary equipment is provided, including a quality stand-up paddleboard, paddle, leash, and rash guard.
