Arrival at Ulaanbaatar airport, where your English-speaking driver and guide will be waiting for you. Transfer and installation at the hotel, in the center of the capital.
Upon your arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, your Guide-interpreter and driver will welcome you at the airport. You will be transferred to your hotel, followed by a city tour (half-day or full-day depending on your arrival time). Duration: 1 hour Admission included
After breakfast, we will depart for the Mini Gobi sand dunes, located about 270 km from Ulaanbaatar. We will have lunch along the way, and upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a camel ride across the dunes and take beautiful photos in this spectacular setting. In the late afternoon, we will meet our hosts—a family of camel herders living near the dunes—where we will spend the night and experience their nomadic way of life.
We will travel to the magnificent Orkhon Valley, a jewel listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Throughout the journey you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes where endless steppes and winding rivers blend harmoniously. We will have lunch along the way in the village of Khujirt. In the late afternoon, we will be welcomed by a nomadic family known for their warmth and hospitality, where you will experience the authenticity of traditional Mongolian life.
We will set off for a full day of horseback riding to discover the majestic Orkhon Waterfall. Throughout the ride, you will pass through breathtaking landscapes of lush green steppes and shimmering rivers. Upon arrival, you can explore the surroundings and, weather permitting, enjoy a refreshing swim at the foot of the waterfall. At the end of the day, we will return to the nomadic family where we are staying.
We will leave our hosts and continue our journey to Tuvkhun Monastery, located at an altitude of 2,400 meters. This sacred site, considered one of the important centers of Buddhism in Mongolia, offers an atmosphere of peace and spirituality in the heart of the mountains. After the visit, we will continue our journey to Tsagaan Sum, where we will end the day by relaxing in natural hot springs — a well-deserved moment of rest after this beautiful day of exploration.
We will travel to Tsetserleg, the charming capital of Arkhangai Province. Upon arrival, we will explore the town center, its lively local markets, and the provincial museum, which showcases the history and culture of the region. At the end of the day, we will join our new hosts, located in a peaceful green valley, where we will spend the night surrounded by nature.
On our second day with the family, we will set out on another horseback adventure. We will ride across the vast Mongolian steppes and enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of breathtaking landscapes. In the evening, we will return to our hosts to share a warm and friendly moment over a traditional meal and authentic conversation.
We will travel to Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park. A hike will take us to the crater of Khorgo Volcano, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding landscapes. In the late afternoon, we will arrive at our campsite, where you will have the opportunity to swim in the lake. In the evening, you can enjoy a warm shower to relax after this wonderful day of exploration.
We will travel to Kharkhorin, the ancient medieval capital of the Mongolian Empire. There, we will visit the country’s first monastery, founded in 1586, as well as the city museum and its calligraphy center, which reflects the rich history and culture of the region. At the end of the day, we will arrive at our final hosts to enjoy a warm welcome before our last night in the steppes.
After breakfast, we will return to the capital, Ulaanbaatar, and enjoy some free time for Shopping. You will find cashmere, leather goods, and a wide variety of souvenirs, gifts, and keepsakes. In the evening, you will experience Mongolian culture through a folk performance, including a concert of traditional music and contortion. You will hear performances featuring the traditional Mongolian instrument, the Morin Khuur, a two-stringed fiddle decorated with a carved horse head; as well as throat singing, once used by shamans to communicate with spirits. Finally, a farewell dinner with your team will conclude an excellent journey filled with unforgettable memories.
