The Park offers an abundance of wild Nature, and all the plain mammals of East Africa can be encountered—best chances of seeing a wild dog, but still no guarantee. The park assures classic game drive through its savannah and drive along its many water bodies, including the great Rufiji River and lakes.
Moreover, this tour offers unlimited game drives starting from early departure from Zanzibar to late departure from Selous.

Meeting and pickup
Yes, we pick up all travelers. Pick-up is available from your hotel or location anywhere within Zanzibar (Unguja Island). This includes all major tourist areas such as Stone Town, Airport surroundings, Nungwi, Kendwa, Matemwe, Kiwengwa, Pwani Mchangani, Pongwe, Uroa, Chwaka, Michamvi, Bwejuu, Paje, Jambiani, Makunduchi, Kizimkazi, Fumba, Mbweni, and other locations across the north, south, east, and west coast of Zanzibar.
What to expect
The park boasts Tanzania's largest elephant population and many lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks and zebras.
This tour starts by departing from Zanzibar airport at 07h00, arriving at Selous Mtemere Airstrip at 08h00, received by our safari guide.
Immediately you will start a safari game drive, sightseeing the game in the park, driving through the savannah and along the river and lakes—picnic lunch at lunchtime in a stunning location with a clear park view.
Then you can go ahead with your journey exploring the African bushes before returning to the airstrip at around 16h00 for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
