Travel back in time with this fantastic trip to the beautiful town of Kruje from Tirana. You will visit its famous castle and stroll through its enchanting medieval bazaar.
Kruja is a small town perched high on the face of a hill considered “the Adriatic Sea’s Balcony”, because of its altidute above mean sea level (approximately 1000 m). Kruja was the centre of 15th century Albanian resistance to the Ottomans under the leadership of national hero Gjerg Kastrioti “Skanderbeg”. Visit the unique Skanderbeg Museum inside the restored castle and the Ethnographical Museum. The street leading up to the castle is built in the style of a Turkish bazaar; we can stroll along the old bazaar which has a wonderful selection of authentic antiques and souvenirs.

Another attraction for tourists is the Ethnographic Museum, located in the south side of Kruje Castle. This museum is designed based on a typical house of 19th century. It reveals the sustainable methods of tools, food, drink and furniture production in a typical household. There are also objects and old wood and metal supplies that represent the lifestyle back then in the castle.

3Pazari i Vjeter
The street leading up to the castle is built in the style of a Turkish bazaar; we can stroll along the old bazaar which has a wonderful selection of authentic antiques and souvenirs. Then we will have early dinner.

4Kruja Castle
The Krujë castle is a castle in the city of Krujë, Albania and the center of Skanderbeg's rebellion against the Ottoman Empire. Inside the castle is the Teqe of Dollme of the Bektashi (an Islamic Sufi sect), the National Skanderbeg Museum, the remains of the Fatih Sultan Mehmed mosque and its minaret, an ethnographic museum and a Turkish bath.
