Begin your Puebla Tour with a scenic drive from Mexico City, where the past and present blend seamlessly. Upon arrival at your hotel, you’ll meet your group and Tour Leader in the lobby at 6 pm. After a brief informational meeting to get acquainted with the itinerary, we’ll head out for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where you’ll experience Puebla’s renowned culinary delights. Following the dinner, we’ll take an orientation walk through Puebla’s historic center, known for its charming colonial architecture, vibrant streets, and UNESCO-listed landmarks. During the walk, you’ll have the opportunity to taste local food specialties, offering a delicious introduction to the city’s rich flavors. To round off the evening, you’re invited to join an optional get-together at a cozy local bar, where you can mingle with fellow travelers and reflect on the first day of your adventure.
Start the day with an early departure to Teotihuacan, one of Mexico’s most iconic archaeological sites. Walk among the ancient pyramids, including the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon, as your guide brings to life the history of this once-great Mesoamerican city and its mysteries. Next, we’ll head to San Martín de las Pirámides, a nearby “Magical Town” known for its compact colonial charm. Here, we’ll stroll through the traditional market, where you can try specialties like tacos, tamales, and more. Don’t miss the chance to sample refreshing pulque, a traditional Mexican drink with deep historical roots. After exploring San Martín, we’ll return to Mexico City to visit the National Museum of Anthropology, home to one of the world’s finest collections of Mesoamerican artifacts, including the famous Aztec Sun Stone. In the evening, enjoy free time at your leisure or join the group for an optional dinner and get-together, reflecting on a day full of history and culture.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before heading to La Malinche National Park, a beautiful natural sanctuary. On the way, enjoy an optional snack or lunch as we travel through scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, choose between relaxing at the basecamp, which offers outdoor activities, a restaurant, and short trails, or joining your guide on a challenging 14-km loop trail (~6–7 hours) toward the summit. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding valleys and mountains while immersing yourself in the park’s natural beauty. After your hike or day of relaxation, we’ll transfer to your accommodation, where you can soothe your muscles in a traditional temazcal, a Mexican steam bath that cleanses body and spirit. In the evening, enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers, followed by an optional get-together around the fireplace to reflect on the day’s adventures and share your experiences with the group.
In the morning, after breakfast, we’ll head to Tlaxcala, capital of Mexico’s smallest state, known for its impressive churches and handsome central plaza. After an orientation walk through its compact colonial center, we’ll continue to Cholula, a “Magical Town” and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the Americas. Cholula is also famous for having the world’s largest pyramid by volume, topped by the Virgen de los Remedios Church. Once there, we’ll explore the historic center, taste local specialties at the municipal market, visit the Cholula Archaeological Zone, and sample different varieties of cider at a local cider museum, linked to one of Mexico’s oldest cider factories. Later, we’ll travel to Puebla, a vibrant state capital with a beautifully preserved historic center, stunning cathedral, and many churches. After check-in and some rest, we’ll take an evening walk through the historic center and enjoy an optional farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Free time in the morning and transfer to Mexico City arriving there around 1 pm (the driver can drop you off at the airport or in the center). End of our Puebla Tour.
