Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech or directly from the airport. You'll traverse the majestic Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, located 2,260 meters above sea level, offering stunning panoramic views. Your first stop will be the famous Aït-Ben-Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the backdrop for numerous movies like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. After the visit, you'll follow the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" to reach the palm groves of Skoura, then continue to Kelaat M'Gouna, the capital of the Rose Valley. By evening, you'll arrive at the stunning Dades Gorges, where you’ll spend the night in a charming guesthouse.
After breakfast in a picturesque setting, you'll explore the unique landscapes of the Dades Valley before heading to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, known for their dramatic cliffs reaching up to 300 meters high. Take your time to relax and enjoy a short walk in this beautiful location. After lunch, you'll continue towards Merzouga, passing through the Jorf palm grove, known for producing the best dates in the country, and Erfoud, a quaint village famous for its fossils. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll leave your vehicle and hop onto a camel to journey through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You’ll arrive at a traditional desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under a starlit sky.
Wake up early to witness an unforgettable sunrise over the desert dunes. After breakfast, you'll ride camels back to the edge of the desert, where your vehicle awaits. You’ll journey through the Tafilalet palm grove and take a scenic route through Alnif and Tazarine, picturesque villages nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Marvel at the unique shapes and colors of the landscapes as you pass through Tizi N’Tfrkhin. Stop for lunch and a well-deserved break in Kelaat M’Gouna before continuing to Ouarzazate. In the late afternoon, you’ll check into a riad or kasbah for a relaxing evening.
After breakfast, enjoy some free time to explore Ouarzazate, often referred to as the "Gateway to the Desert." We recommend visiting the famous Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios, the largest in Africa and the filming site of many iconic movies. After the visit, you’ll drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass through the Atlas Mountains. You’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, bringing an end to this unforgettable journey.
