From here, you’ll cycle at your own pace along peaceful country roads, passing through wooded hillsides and wide open valleys. Along the way, you’ll glimpse a way of life that has remained unchanged for centuries — large flocks of yaks, sheep and goats grazing freely, and the round felt tents of local herders scattered across the landscape.
A picnic lunch awaits at the day’s highest point, set in a lush meadow framed by wooded slopes. The afternoon ride is a relaxed roll through open valley terrain, with nomadic homes dotting the scenery. The ride concludes by 5 pm, when the bikes are loaded for a two-hour return drive to Ulaanbaatar.
