What to expect

Vesuvius is unquestionably the most famous volcano in the world.
With its size, flanked by Monte Somma, it dominates the background and panorama of the city of Naples.
Its fame is usually associated with the eruption of 79 AD, with which the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum entered history, destroyed and at the same time made immortal by lava, ash and lapilli.
The Vesuvius tour starts from an altitude of 1000 m., on the north side and lasts about 2 hours: together with a specialized local guide, you will walk along a path that leads to the top of the crater.
Here it will be possible to admire the southern part of the Gulf of Naples, the Sorrento Coast, Capri and Pompeii from the panoramic terrace of the chalet "La Capannuccia",
During the tour, thanks to several stops along the way, the specialized and EXCLUSIVE guide will describe and illustrate the various eruptions, the fumaroles, the crater and the transformations during the last eruptions, focusing on the eruption of 79 AD and consequently on the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Once you reach the top, at the end of the big cone path it will be possible to stay longer than the visit.
