This unique day tour is packed full of adventure as we take you deep into the south of Tasmania. We drive through the historic riverside village of Franklin which still honours the traditional craft of building wooden boats.

2.5hr KAYAK TOUR (cost included)
Join a truly Tasmanian kayak tour as we paddle on the spectacular waters of Port Esperance in Tasmania’s far south wilderness. Your tour is easy flat water paddling and no previous experience is required. All tours are great for families and kids!

LUNCH AT THE KERMANDIE HOTEL (cost excluded)
Enjoy a delicious sit down lunch with a view (October to April). Built in 1932, the Kermandie remains the heart of Port Huon, offering charming, comfortable accommodation, great food, a fully restored bar and views over its own marina.

TAHUNE ADVENTURES (cost included)
Walk in the treetops on the Tahune airwalk, cross a swinging bridge, see Huon pines and relish the views of the surrounding forest on this two-hour forest adventure.

We will pick up guests from Hobart CBD hotels or alternatively at 20 Davey Street, Hobart (Tasmanian Travel & Information Centre)

We would gladly pick you up from your CBD accommodation. If you prefer to meet us at the meeting point, please make your way to the Elizabeth Street side of the Tasmanian Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Davey and Elizabeth Streets.

What to expect

We are the only operator sharing the stunning Huon Valley with day tours from Hobart. Kayak on the spectacular waters of Port Esperance in Tasmania’s far south wilderness. Your morning tour involves easy flat water paddling so no previous experience is required. This experience is great for families!

After a relaxing sit down lunch at the Kermandie Hotel (meals and drinks excluded) you continue the fun at Tahune Adventures. Here you can see thousand year old Huon Pine trees and walk amongst the treetops on the Airwalk.
