    Junagarh Fort (Bikaner Fort)

    Built in 1588 A.D. by Raja Rai Singh, A general in the army of Emperor Akbar, the fort is a formidable structure encircled by a moat and has some beautiful palaces within. These palaces, made in red sandstone and marble, make a picturesque ensemble of courtyards, balconies, kiosks and windows dotted all over the structure.

    Karni Mata Temple

    Rat Temple ( Karni Mata Temple) : The famous 600 years old temple is situated 30 KM from Bikaner in Deshnok.It is also know to Karni Mata Temple.This temple is dedicated of karni Mata, An incarnation of Goddess Durga. The temple has huge intricately carved silver gates which were donated by Maharaja (King) Ganga Singh. The most interesting thing about the temple are the rates who scamper freely within precincts. They are regarded as sacred and are fed by priests & devotees owing to the belief that they will be reincarnated in the family of the goddess. These are holy rats are called Kabbas, And many people travel great distance to pay their respects, The temple draws visitors from across the country for blessings, as well as curious tourists from around the world.
