Your journey begins at Marangu Gate, the main entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you'll trek through a lush tropical rainforest filled with towering trees, colorful birds, and playful black-and-white colobus monkeys. Along the trail, learn about the mountain's unique ecosystems, history, and local culture.
After a rewarding hike, you'll reach Mandara Hut, the first overnight camp on the Marangu Route, located at an altitude of 2,700 meters.
