Learn how local clay is shaped, decorated and fired using techniques connected with the region’s long pottery tradition. Watch an artisan demonstrate the pottery wheel and the different stages of ceramic production. Depending on workshop availability, a guest may also be invited to try shaping clay on the pottery wheel. After the demonstration, browse handmade and hand-painted ceramics including plates, bowls, vases, decorative objects and traditional designs. Purchases are entirely optional.
