    Ancient City of Ephesus

Our first destination is the legendary ancient city of Ephesus — one of Turkey’s most magnificent archaeological treasures. Once a thriving hub of the Ionian League, Ephesus stood as a major port and commercial center on the western shores of Asia Minor, near present-day Izmir.

    Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)

Our second stop is the sacred House of the Virgin Mary, nestled in the serene Aladağ Mountains, just five miles from ancient Ephesus. According to tradition, Mary journeyed to Ephesus with St. John in 37 A.D. and spent the final years of her life here until her passing in 48 A.D. Recognized as a holy site, it was declared a place of pilgrimage by the Archbishop of Izmir in 1892. Since then, it has drawn visitors from around the world — including Pope Paul VI, who came here to pray on July 26, 1967.

    The Temple of Artemis

Our next stop is the legendary Temple of Artemis — once hailed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Though only a few columns and scattered ruins remain today, the site still radiates an aura of grandeur and reverence. Dedicated to Artemis, the ancient Greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness, and fertility, this temple once stood as one of the most magnificent and awe-inspiring monuments ever built.
