    Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)

The House of the Virgin Mary is a sacred Christian pilgrimage site believed to be the final home of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Nestled on Mount Koressos near Ephesus, the site offers a tranquil setting surrounded by pine forests and natural springs. According to tradition, Mary spent her last years here under the care of Saint John the Apostle. Today, visitors can explore the small stone chapel built on the original foundations, light candles, and visit the wishing wall where pilgrims leave written prayers. Recognized by the Catholic Church, the site has been visited by several popes and continues to attract millions seeking spiritual reflection and peace.

    The Temple of Artemis

The Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, stood just outside the city of Ephesus. Built in 550 BC on a sacred site whose significance extends back to the 8th century BC, it served as an important sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Artemis. The temple was destroyed and rebuilt three times throughout its long history. However, after Christianity became dominant in the region, the site was eventually abandoned. Today, only a few remnants remain, yet it continues to hold great historical and cultural importance.

    Pamukkale

Pamukkale, located in southwestern Turkey, is famous for both its stunning natural formations and its ancient city, Hierapolis. The travertines of Pamukkale are brilliant white terraces formed over thousands of years by mineral-rich thermal waters flowing down the hillside. As the water cools, it leaves behind calcium deposits that create terraces, pools, and cotton-like cascades—giving Pamukkale its name, meaning “Cotton Castle.” Visitors can walk in designated areas and enjoy the warm, healing waters. The ancient city of Hierapolis, built on top of these terraces, was a major Roman spa city known for its healing hot springs. Today, visitors can explore its well-preserved theater, ancient baths, necropolis, temples, and the famous Cleopatra’s Pool, where you can swim among submerged ancient columns. Together, the travertines and the ancient ruins make Pamukkale a unique UNESCO World Heritage Site that blends natural beauty with rich history.
