    The history of Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood dates back to the 1890s, It locates by the bank of Dubai Creek (Khor Dubai) therefore plays an important role in Dubai's commerical and political management.Until today, you can still see the crowded business districts surround this district and right next to it is His Highness Monarch of Dubai's divan.All buildings and decorations of Al Fahidi reflects the traditional style of life that was prevalent in Dubai from the mid 19th century till the 1971s.

    Dubai Museum & Al Fahidi Fort

    Dubai Museum is located in the Al Fahidi Fort which was built in 1787. After transformation,this museum offers different ways to depict everyday Dubai life in the days before the discovery of oil. With all the interesting knowledges, you could be surprised by diversity of Dubai, whether they are marine, coastal, desert, mountain or agricultural life.

    Dubai Creek

    Take Abras(local ferry boat) crossing Dubai Creek. Dubai Creek’s significance can be traced back to 1902, all custom duties on imports are abolished by HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher,the ruler of Dubai. This makes Dubai the center of a free trade zone.Among all the commercial activities, fish and pearl trading are most important. Until the construction of Al Maktoum Bridge in 1963, the only way to get from one side of the creek to the other was a long journey by land around the waterway, or a ride in an abra(small ferry) with manpower oar. Nowadayz, oar has been replaced by motors, abra is still a good choice to do the ferry and enjoy the view of Dubai Creek.

    Gold Souk is undoubtedly a must-visit in Dubai. The competition is intense here with more than 380 retailers providing more than hundred thousands styles of jewelry with more than 10 tons of gold.Price of jewelry is divided into two parts, the materials and the craftsmanship, the latter one is what you can haggle for. Some times you can haggle up to 40% of the actual price. Besides jewelry shopping, you can take a glance at the largest ring of the world, which is made of 5.1KG gold in total.
