What to expect

As we entry the Tijuca National Park we will be welcomed with the stunning view of the Taunay Waterfall, the most famous cascade in the Park with its 35m free fall beauty.
Our hiking experience will last 4 hours along beautiful trails. We'll discover historical places and walk around the impressive vegetation of the Atlantic Rain Forest that create the scenery of the Park.

Our first stop is at Cachoeira das Almas (waterfall) where we can cool off under its fall. Then we pass by the Floresta restaurant, a historical building, to hit the Caves Trail and visit the Belmiro, Archer and Bats Caves, being surprised by rocks and granit walls along this part of the park.

After visiting the caves we'll stop at the Cristalina and Baronesa waterfalls and hike back on a different path, allowing time to visit to the Gabriela fall and take time to relax, have a snack, enjoy the place and feel the Rain Forest.

The trails are mostly easy, but the hike is 5.5 miles long. Some small bits of humid and slippery soil, but no big difficulties.
All waterfalls have natural crystal water that rises from the water basins of the Park.
All caves visited are safe and don't pose any danger to the guests.
