Cruising beneath the monumental Ponte 25 de Abril provides one of the most breathtaking perspectives on the Tagus River. Standing at over 70 meters (230 feet) above the water, the structure spans 2.3 kilometers and connects the capital Lisbon to Almada city on the south bank. What You'll See & Key Details Iconic Design: Built by the American Bridge Company (the same firm behind San Francisco's Bay Bridge), its deep red coat, steel suspension cables, and lattice towers closely resemble the Golden Gate Bridge.
