You will start your day departing from Bilbao city center, traveling comfortably to Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital of the Basque Country. Upon arrival, enjoy an overview of the city, seeing its main avenues and landmarks, up to the iconic Plaza de la Virgen Blanca. Then, explore the Old Town on foot, known as the “medieval almond,” with its cobbled streets, Renaissance palaces, stately houses and remnants of the old city walls. Afterward, continue to the Salinas de Añana, a salt valley with over a thousand years of history, where you will discover the traditional artisanal salt extraction process and enjoy a unique salt tasting. Finally, return to Bilbao, ending a day full of history, culture and stunning landscapes.
