Offered in: German and 9 more

Once the tour is booked, you can come to our rental point to collect the bikes. A specialized instructor will welcome you and provide a briefing on the bike, the route, and how our app works, so you can start safely with our virtual guide. The tour is a scenic loop starting from San Gimignano, along white roads, vineyards, olive groves, and continuous views of its famous medieval towers. The route is 26 km with 500 m of elevation gain and is smooth and non-technical, ideal by e-bike and suitable for everyone with a minimum of confidence on dirt roads and short climbs. Along the itinerary there is a stop at Fattoria Poggio Alloro, with beautiful views over San Gimignano, perfect for a snack break or to end the tour with a wine tasting and cellar visit. A medieval village on the Via Francigena, San Gimignano is now a UNESCO site. Of the more than 70 towers from the 14th century, 14 still remain today.

  • San Gimignano (Pass by)

'San Gimignano delle belle Torri' is in Tuscany, 56 km south of Florence. It served as an important relay point for pilgrims travelling to or from Rome on the Via Francigena. The patrician families who controlled the town built around 72 tower-houses (some as high as 50 m) as symbols of their wealth and power.

Monteriggioni is one of the few examples of medieval military architecture and preserves the ancient city walls and fourteen towers practically intact. The castle was built by the Sienese (1214) as an outpost against the Florentines.
