The Polynesian canoe, also known as the Hawaiian canoe, is the perfect vessel for leisure time with family and friends. It is an extremely stable, safe and comfortable canoe. We are the only Polynesian canoe club on the banks of the Arade River, which divides Portimão/Lagoa.
Taking a trip along the waters of the River Arade in a Polynesian canoe is the best way to contemplate one of the most beautiful and preserved areas of the entire Algarve region.
With beautiful sites of great scenic and ecological value, the Arade River is even more special with the sunset and dawn lights. Undoubtedly, it is the experience that cannot be missed in your tourist itinerary.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We are together with Kayak Clube Os Castores do Arade, in the old Clube Nautico de Lagoa. The site has its own parking and a bus stop nearby.
What to expect
The 2-hour Polynesian canoe tour covers stretches of the Arade River in the morning and afternoon, sunrise and sunset, with a stop at Praia de Angrinha to contemplate the castle, photos, videos and an invigorating dip under the orange and reddish.
The route is personalized and adapted to the participants and the weather and sea conditions, respecting the limits of each one and focusing on everyone's safety, fun and comfort.
It is a safe activity. Suitable for adults and groups of all ages and children from 5 years old.
Difficulty level: low - beginner
Paddling under the leadership and supervision of an experienced instructor with a Recreational Canoeing Guide course by the Portuguese Canoeing Federation.
